Mini Wildcats - Autumn 2008
Using various styles of childrens poetry, the group will work on performance skills, gaining confidence within the group to speak in front of others.
They will learn how to talk about items (such as a 
favourite toy) in an interesting and dramatic way. The group will also learn how to perform together, by learning a piece of text, and reciting it together.
We will explore nursery rhymes, modern songs from childrens programmes, and age appropriate pop songs, their meaning and ways to perform them in character.
Finally, we will be working on childrens imaginations, by developing their ability to identify with people, animals and objects by pretending to be these things.
Introductory Examinations (introductory and preparatory) are designed to introduce candidates to the LAMDA examinations framework, offering an opportunity for creative expression in an enjoyable and non-threatening environment. Mini Wildcats will work on solo and group introductory examinations. Those who are working towards LAMDA can work on London College of Music Early learning awards for age 3-6 years. These special awards allow the teacher to be present in the exam, and examiners are specially selected. All children get at least a pass grade for the LCM early learning awards.
Maximum examination Fees for term: Solo Exam: £14.50 per child, Group Exam: £10.00. LCM Award: £20.00.

Junior Wildcats - Autumn 2008
Junior Wildcats will have the opportunity to work towards a number of graded examinations in Musical Theatre, Acting and Devised Performance, starting with entry level, progressing to Grade 1 and 2. They will also take a group musical theatre examination.
The group will learn performance skills, including working on songs using movement and dance. Children will learn how to understand the meaning of different songs, and how to express emotion, thoughts and feelings through their performance. Those chosing to take examinations in devised performance will also learn how to develop a character and situation, how to create a sense of reality within the character and build skills in voice, diction, and movement in relation to the character. The group examination will involve the children developing a musical scene of between 4 and 5 minutes with speech, dance, movement and song.
8 year olds can join Junior Wildcats if they have previous experience in the field, or have already taken LAMDA introductory, preliminary and preparatory awards.
Maximum examination fees for term: Solo Exam: £25.00 per child, Group Exam: £15.00.
